UFV has been offering online courses since 1994. Over 10,000 people have participated in various courses and workshops. Our online courses are taught by our regular faculty and upon successful completion, courses can be used as credit towards a certificate, diploma or degree

Course Development

For all faculty wanting supplemental course shells, the deadline for supplemental request was Dec 13, 2012. Any request made after December 13th will be handled beginning January 14th. Expect at least a 48-hour response time for your request for a supplemental instance in BB Learn.

Introductory Blackboard Learn Workshops

This workshop is for those developing or teaching either fully online or supplemental courses in Blackboard. Participants will practice on their own course shell. We will discuss design issues for online courses, including course tools and options for presenting content. We will cover communicating with students, assignments and assessment tools, including quizzes. Time permitting, participants will have a chance to ask specific questions regarding their particular courses.
