Time Off For Voting on Tuesday, May 14, 2013

By law, employees must have four consecutive hours of their own time to vote on election day.  The polls in B.C. close at 8:00pm.  Therefore, staff who normally work from 8:30am - 4:30pm are excused from work at 4:00pm on voting day.  We do not close classes on election day, nor are faculty excused from work except as the above applies.
