Campus Recreation

Campus recreation and physical activity produce more than just physical benefits. By being active, as a student you will be able to concentrate better, be less stressed, have more energy and sleep more soundly. Physical fitness plays an important part in living a healthy lifestyle.

‌The Intramural Sports program is designed to offer a broad range of sport opportunities to individuals with a variety of skills and abilities. Participation is open to all UFV students, faculty & staff. Programs provide opportunities to learn new sports, meet people, test physical ability, and manage stress while breaking away from daily routines.
‌The SOLAR (Student Outdoor Life And Recreation) club is a student-organized and student-funded outdoor club that schedules and conducts outdoor outings and activities. These may consist of weekend and day trips that range from backpacking and camping to kayaking to cross country skiing.
The Fitness Classes offer a range of activities which is determined by student interest. Previously, programming has included running and walking club, swing dancing, yoga, pilates, zumba, and a variety of fitness classes. Recreational programming focuses on wellness as a way of living that emphasizes preventive measures such as eating a healthy diet, exercising moderately, and practicing various relaxation techniques.
