Emily

 Emily Emily is currently a fourth year BA student with a double major in English Literature and History. She plans to continue her education and become a secondary school teacher, and is interested in getting her master’s degree in History. Emily has learned the importance of balancing personal and school-related responsibilities, and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge with others. She enjoys watching football (go NY Giants!), spending time with friends and family, and travelling.

Dave

 Dave Dave is currently a fourth year BA student, majoring in Psychology with a Business minor. After spending three months in Europe, Dave began attending UFV in Fall, 2009 and completed a diploma in Business Administration (accounting concentration). After realizing he had a passion for working with people in a helping capacity, he switched to the BA degree, deciding on a fresh start studying Psychology. He aspires to run my own private practice as a Registered Psychologist one day. Prior to his Arts Peer Mentor position, he spent two summers exterior painting, and three years serving at a restaurant. Dave loves hip-hop music, with artists like Lecrae, Sevin, and Swoope getting heavy rotation in his iTunes library. Outside of university life, he plays ice hockey, enjoys graphic design, and photography.

Danielle

 Danielle

Danielle is currently a fourth year BA student, majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice.  She is interested in completing a master’s degree, to become a forensic psychologist, or involvement in correctional services.  Danielle has been able to make the best of her time here at UFV with her optimistic attitude, and practicing time management skills. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano and guitar, travelling, and photography.

Lacey

 Lacey

Lacey is currently in her final year as a BA English Honours Major, with a concentration on Creative Writing. She plans to continue to complete her MFA in Creative Writing, with plans to become a professor. Lacey has enjoyed her time at UFV immensely, and values the relationships and progress she has made along the way. She enjoys reading, writing, swimming, and spending time with her loved ones.

Melissa

 Melissa

Melissa is in her final year of study at UFV, completing a major in Psychology and a minor in French. She is incredibly excited to apply her knowledge in future opportunities and travels. Melissa has enjoyed her time at university and appreciates the numerous resources and events our campus has to offer. She loves reading, listening to music, and spending time with friends. Melissa looks forward to meeting new students through the peer mentor program this year!

Cade

 Cade

Cade is currently in his fourth year in the Bachelor of Arts program. He is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Communications. Cade plans to further his education with a Master’s Degree in Counseling, and hopes to work with youth at risk. At UFV, Cade has learned the importance of establishing relationships with peers and professors to further his success in university. He hopes to help students build these connections to have a successful experience at UFV. In his spare time, Cade enjoys ATVing and playing guitar.

 Keira

Keira is a fourth year student completing a double major in History and English Literature. She is excited to be a member of the peer mentor team and share the knowledge she has gained during her undergraduate degree.  Currently, she is on the editorial board of UFV’s The Louden Singletree, and during her free time she enjoys exploring trails, crocheting, photography, and travelling.

Nikki

Nikki is between her third and fourth year at UFV, working towards a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Biology. Nikki has learned she has passion for working with at-risk youth, and wants to continue on to law school to help be an advocate on behalf of these children. After a move from Ontario to BC four years ago, Nikki discovered just how difficult it can be to meet new people and become comfortable in a new town. Nikki is now familiar with how to navigate the UFV campus, resources and criminology program on her own, and wants to pay this information forward to her mentees. In her free time, Nikki likes reading, hiking, playing video games (especially Zelda) and spending time with her family.
