The University of the Fraser Valley provides over four hundred computer systems to assist students in their educational process. These systems are organized into networked labs ranging in size from 15 to 100 computer systems. The fee for using these labs is included in the student’s tuition. Computer labs are upgraded on a continual, rotational basis as required.
Over seventy different applications (software programs) are installed in the computer labs.
This includes a full suite of Internet tools, Microsoft Office, programming tools, statistical packages and many specialized programs developed for a variety of different disciplines of study.
With few exceptions, all systems are PCs running the MS-Windows operating system.
