Student Leadership Challenge

What is it?
The Student Leadership Challenge is an interactive program for students to gain and strengthen leadership skills. Our program uses the Student Leadership Challenge by Kouzes and Posner (2008), which is based on over 25 years of research. This program will outline how to develop and strengthen effective leadership skills along with ways to model these skills and be a successful leader. The Student Leadership Challenge has been used by a variety of individuals, including students and professionals! Launched in September 2008, this Challenge has been pursued by several UFV students.

Testimonials
“Leadership is a kind of service. Its purpose is to serve a cause and the people involved in the cause. A leader that focuses on their authority will ultimately fail. True leaders give guidance and direction for the task at hand."
Nathan Abrahams, Leadership Challange 2010
1st Year, Business

"Leadership is not a position or a quality. It involves the whole person in work, spirit, soul and body. It doesn't mean dictating others, but in fact working with others to accomplish some task effectively.”
Sukhdeep Kaur Sandhu, Leadership Challenge 2010
1st Year, Computer Information Systems (CIS)
