Community Partnerships

For over three decades, UFV has upheld a commitment to excellence in teaching, comprehensive programming, regionally-focused research, and a multi-campus, community-based institutional model. We actively nurture our ties with the communities of the Fraser Valley because we have a responsibility to contribute to the growth and success of this region and its residents. 

UFV is proud to be partnering with the following groups/initiatives*:


  Abbotsford Spirit of BC Community Committee
The SOBC office will operate on UFV's Abbotsford campus rent-free until the close of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
 ‌‌Abbotsford School District Career Programs
Abbotsford School District
UFV has partnered with the Abbotsford School District to allow high school students direct access to a number of technical programs.
  Cascade Aerospace   
UFV has partnered with Cascade Aerospace to run the Aircraft Structures Technician program.  
  City of Abbotsford
UFV's first permanent campus opened on King Road in Abbotsford in 1983.
  City of Chilliwack
UFV was founded as Fraser Valley College in Chilliwack in 1974.
  Coastal Pacific Aviation
UFV has partnered with Coastal Pacific Aviation for over 25 years to run the Aviation program.
 District of Mission Logo District of Mission
UFV established a temporary campus in Mission in 1975 for continuing education and adult basic education programs. In 1996, UFV partnered with the Mission School District to open the Heritage Park Centre. In 2011, The District of Mission and UFV formed a partnership and launched a graphic design program at Mission Campus.
  Envision Financial 
UFV has partnered with Envision Financial to offer a Business Administration bridging program.
 School District 78 has partnered with UFV to offer the Transitions program to SD78 high school students

School District 78
Has partnered with UFV to offer the Transitions program to SD78 high school students, offering them first year courses after school hours while in high school, earning them dual high school and university credit.


MSA Museum
The UFV History Department and the MSA Museum have co-hosted the national Historica Foundation's annualFraser Valley Regional Historica Fairsince 2004, an event that sees hundreds of school children and their teachers, parents, and community leaders celebrate local history and Canada's national heritage.

  Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
UFV has partnered with the RCMP to offer a Bachelor of General Studies (Police Studies) degree program.
