Thank you for your interest in living on-campus at the University of the Fraser Valley for the Academic year. The following is important information that we strongly recommend you to read in order to have a smooth application process.
Please read the following How to Apply information along with the Residence Contract and Residence Handbook carefully prior to completing your residence application. The next step is to complete your online application on the Residence Portal and submit the $50 application fee. Please note that your application will not be processed until the $50 application fee is paid.
You MUST click the "Submit" button at the end of the application process or your application will not be submitted. On some computers, the "Submit" button isn't visible unless you scroll down to the bottom of the page. If your application has been submitted properly, you will see a confirmation message. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail [within 48 hours] that will be sent to the email address that you provided. If you do not receive these confirmations, your application has not been received and you should contact Residence Services.
You may pay your $50 application fee or any other residence payments by credit card, money order, or bank draft. We can accept credit card deposit payments by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express through the Residence Portal. Please do not send your credit card information by e-mail. We highly encourage all payments be by credit card and through our online application Residence Portal system. It is by far the easiest to manage and track for both the UFV Finance Department and the resident. If you do not have a valid credit card for this application process, please contact Residence Services at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. We will make other arrangements for you regarding how to submit your application.
Also, if you prefer to pay your Room Offer Acceptance Fee or other payment by money order or bank draft, please make your money order payable to "University of the Fraser Valley" in the amount of $__ Canadian dollars. Important: your money order or bank draft must be negotiable at a Canadian bank. Please be sure to include your name and student I.D. number on your payment.
Your Residence application will be processed once we receive your application and $50 application fee.

International mail delivery can be very slow. So if you have any doubt that your deposit or payment will not reach Residence Services in time, it is very important that you contact Residence Services via telephone, fax, or e-mail in order for us to hold a room for you. Once you have contacted us, we will grant you a two-week extension to allow you to get your payment to us. If we do not receive your payment within this period of time, you will be considered late and we will not be able to guarantee you a place in residence.
