How to pay

How to find out your total tuition and fees

Your account balance will be available soon after you register for classes. Be sure to check your total before you pay and get your payment in well before the payment deadline.

 To review your UFV account balance:

  • Log into MyUFV
  • Under 'Student Billing & Account' select 'View your account summary'
  • Select the appropriate term

How to pay:

  • Log into your bank or credit union
  • Select University of the Fraser Valley or UFV as the payee
  • Use your student ID number as the account number

When to pay:
Payments can take up to 72 hours to go through, so pay early. 

 

 

Debit card/Interac

Paying by debit:

  • Please visit one of our locations to access this service

Good to know:
Contact your bank to make sure your daily transaction limit will allow you to pay the full tuition amount.

 

Cheque, bank draft, money order

Write the cheque:

  • Payable to University of the Fraser Valley.
  • For the exact amount you owe.
  • Include your name, UFV ID, address, and telephone number on your cheque

Deliver the cheque:

Good to know:
Post-dated cheques are not accepted. UFV will charge a $25 penalty for insufficient funds in your bank account.

 

Not accepted

UFV is not able to accept:

  • Cash payments
  • Credit card payments (service fees only)
  • E-transfers

Payment tips:

  • Always save your receipt or online confirmation number as proof of payment in case of any inquiries regarding payments applied to an account.
  • Pay early. It can take 3-5 business days for banks or credit unions to process payments. If you're mailing a cheque, allow plenty of time for delivery.
  • Vendors may charge fees. Your bank or credit union may charge for services like bill payments or money orders. These fees are your responsibility.

 

Payment info for sponsored students

You are a sponsored student if an organization is directly funding your education. Employers, First Nations, government agencies, other educational institutions & charitable organizations are examples of third-party sponsors. UFV welcomes sponsorship arrangements that help our students complete their post-secondary studies.

How sponsorship arrangements work

  • It's up to you to communicate with your sponsor. Every student-sponsor agreement is unique, so you need to connect with your sponsor to let them know how much to pay and when to pay. You can download your Statement of Account from myUFV to share with your sponsor.
  • Registration deposit: If you have an approved sponsorship in place, you do not need to pay the tuition deposition before registration.
  • Late payment: as a sponsored student, you are still responsible for the outstanding balance on your student account at all times. If your balance is not paid in full by the payment deadline, there is a $50 penalty per term and a financial hold will be placed on your account.
