Advanced Placement (AP) courses may be used in place of regular grade 12 courses in the same discipline, either for meeting course prerequisites or meeting entrance requirements that include Approved Grade 12 courses.
Transfer credit for AP courses
University-level transfer credit may be granted to students who complete certain Advanced Placement program (AP) examinations. Normally, a minimum grade of 4 is required for transfer for AP courses. Transferability of Advanced Placement courses is listed in the B.C. Transfer Guide under "Block, AP and IB Guides".
To use AP courses at UFV, the following documentation is required:
- If taken in a B.C. school, the final grades will be reported on your final high school transcript. This is sufficient for meeting high school entrance requirements.
- Transfer credit will only be evaluated and granted when official AP score results are sent directly from the AP College Board to UFV Admissions at the Office of the Registrar in Abbotsford. The institution number for UFV is 6750. Students may be able to request that the results be sent directly to UFV when the test is written, or transcripts can be ordered later.
