Six easy steps to enjoy UFV Convocation
Congratulations! You are one of a class of 2,000 students who will graduate from UFV this year. Convocation is an opportunity to celebrate your achievements at UFV and to share this significant milestone with your family and friends. Convocation is scheduled for June 12 - 13, 2014. Everyone is welcome to attend UFV ceremonies, held annually at the Abbotsford Centre.

Pre-order your gown, cap, and tassel
Pre-order your gown online at Gaspards and benefit from their early bird rate. The site is available for ordering at any time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until midnight Thursday, May 29. After this deadline, you may still order regalia on the day of your ceremony, at full cost.
The cost when you pre-order is $40 taxes included. Gaspards accepts visa and mastercard for online payment. The cost to order regalia on site at the ceremony is $60. The fee includes rental of a black gown and UFV hood and the purchase of a cap, tassel and year charm.

Invite family & friends
Feel free to invite as many friends and family members to your UFV convocation as you wish. The Abbotsford Centre, located a 33800 King Road in Abbotsford, features over 2,500 seats, which are available entirely free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis for each ceremony.
Flowers and UFV wear will be available for purchase on the concourse if your loved ones would like to mark the occasion with a gift. They can also review gift options and pre-order if they prefer.

Celebrate the day

Allow yourself plenty of time in order to enjoy the day. Plan on at least three to four hours for your entire graduation ceremony. This includes time for regalia, marshalling, the procession, ceremony, and informal reception. Arrive one hour early to prepare.
Make sure to leave time for photographs with your family and friends before you return your regalia at the end of the ceremony.
Get involved with the UFV Alumni Association
As a UFV graduate, you are a member of the UFV Alumni Association.
Your alumni membership card will be available to you at your graduation ceremony if you had your photo taken by an Artona photographer. If you did not, you can visit the Campus Card office before or after your convocation ceremony to have your alumni membership card photo taken.
Membership in the UFV Alumni Association entitles you to perks and privileges. There are also opportunities to get involved and develop your professional network.
