Lorne Mackenzie

Associate Professor

Mr. Mackenzie holds a BSc (mathematics) and MBA (finance) from the University of British Columbia. He holds a Commercial Pilot’s License. Mr. Mackenzie has over 30 years of industry experience including his executive role as President, KFC Canada and as the Owner/Operator of a multi-unit franchise business. He is a member of the President’s Advisory Council and National Advertising Committee for YUM International Restaurants (Canada). In addition to his teaching responsibilities he holds the position of Liaison for the University of the Fraser Valley BBA degree program in Chandigarh, India. His teaching interests are in the areas of business strategy, entrepreneurship and business planning. Mr. Mackenzie’s teaching philosophy places a heavy emphasis on experiential learning and the application of course concepts to help ensure students graduate with the knowledge and skills valued by potential employers.
