The Office of the Registrar invites applications for one (1) permanent Admissions Clerk.
Duties & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Admissions Coordinator, the Admissions Clerk is responsible for performing a wide range of duties in support of admissions and credential evaluation functions, including data entry of high school grades, test scores, transfer credit and applications; screening open access programs and generating admissions letters; scanning and keeping records of student documents; responding to student enquiries; tracking documents; generating memos; and running computer processes related to admissions and transfer credit. The position uses a variety of software, including the Banner student records system, Banner Document Management system, Microsoft Word, and Fast Student, to enter data, find information, update student records, run queries and perform mail merges.
Completion of a recognized certificate in office administration from a recognized post-secondary institution. Two years related experience, with knowledge of university admissions and records systems. Proficiency in the operation of a computer in a Windows environment with good word processing skills, familiarity with Banner, Banner Document Management, and databases such as Fast Student and spreadsheets preferred. Minimum keyboard speed of 50 wpm. Ability to deal effectively with a diverse range of people, to manage multiple demands and to work well as part of a team. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision is required.
