Our multiple Fraser Valley locations serve the communities of Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope, and Mission and surrounding areas. Each campus is uniquely situated and possesses its own distinctive environmental features including:

At UFV, you can work in a traditional office, open concept workstation, classroom, laboratory, studio, the library, gymnasium, the great outdoors, and more. You won’t find this everywhere!

Theatre

Our Theatre department offers a full season of theatre with three major productions, a Directors' Theatre Festival of student-directed plays, and many smaller events, such as play readings and poetry slams.

Visual Arts

Visit the Visual Arts gallery to see various exhibitions and events by faculty and students.

Food & Beverage

Not every workplace can offer a variety of food and dining options at work. UFV can!

Dining 

Come savour an outstanding gourmet prix fixe menu prepared by our Culinary Arts cooks-in-training at Chilliwack’s Rivers Dining Room. The feature menu is available to employees and the public.

Snack and meals

UFV’s Dining Services provides complete food services at the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available during the fall and winter semesters at the Abbotsford campus cafeteria, in addition to other café and snack options, including Tim Hortons (Canada’s famous doughnuts-and-more shop).

Catering 

If you are hosting a meeting or event and require catering, contact Dining Services to request menu options, discuss requirements, and make arrangements.

There are many ways to stay connected with news and events at UFV.

Events

UFV's online events calendar lists the many events, public lectures/ talks, meetings, open houses, public holidays and school closures, and other events of interest to our university community. With so much happening at UFV, there’s no time to be bored!

News

News sources include our CIVL campus and community radio station, the UFV Today online blog and e-newsletter, and our Skookum magazine available online and in print.

Sports & Recreation

Where else can you watch live sports or burn some energy, right where you work? At UFV you can!

Play

Our Campus Recreation department provides various activities for faculty and staff, including drop-in sports, intramurals, fitness classes, a fitness centre, gymnasium courts for renting, and instructional programs.

Watch

Catch the excitement at our varsity games with the UFV Cascades including basketball, golf, soccer, rowing, and volleyball. Can’t make it to a game? Watch online!

Transportation

UFV has options for you to consider when commuting to or between campuses.

On-site Parking

UFV offers designated Employee parking (hourly and permit) on-site at affordable rates.

Shuttle Service

Students and employees can ride the Campus Connector shuttle that operates daily and connects our Chilliwack and Abbotsford campuses.

Carpooling

Registered carpools (3+ passengers) can share ride costs and parking permits at the Chilliwack and Abbotsford campuses.
