Basic AutoCAD
Prerequisite: An entry level computer course with Windows or equivalent experience and keyboarding proficiency
This class covers basic AutoCAD drafting principles including navigating the AutoCAD desktop and inputting objects and text into a drawing. Topics include CAD in industry and technical presentation methods, AutoCAD file management, drawing and editing objects, inserting and editing text. You will be introduced to AutoCAD’s unique set of drafting tools that allow you to build accurate visual representations. The student, upon completion,
will be capable of creating industry-standard AutoCAD files with precision and confidence.

Basic AutoCAD Part 2
Prerequisite: Basic AutoCAD
This class covers intermediate AutoCAD drafting principles and builds on the foundation of the topics and tools that were learned in CAD 01. You will use industry methods to manage AutoCAD drawings-drawing setups, layers and line types, viewport and layout management, basic and advanced dimensioning tools, blocks and attributes, building symbol libraries and printing singulars and sets. Upon completion, you will be capable of using AutoCAD’s more sophisticated editing tools to create and print drawings with accuracy and assurance.

Revit Architecture
Prerequisites: Knowledge of architectural construction terminology and basic drafting practices.
This course covers the basics of Autodesk Revit in an architectural environment, from design through construction documentation. You will be introduced to the tools and concepts of working with fully parametric building modeling software.
