Canadian Payroll Association Courses

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is offered at UFV in partnership with the Canadian Payroll Association. Employers are looking for payroll professionals they can trust to be compliant and pay their employees accurately. PCP certification provides a recognized foundation for your career. Students must register with the Canadian Payroll Association and pay CPA course fees immediately after registering with UFV. CPA fees are as follows: $530.00 + GST (new CPA member) or $340.00 + GST (existing CPA member).

Payroll Compliance Legislation

This course is the first core payroll course in the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification program. Upon completion of Payroll Compliance Legislation (PCL), you will have a thorough understanding of the compliance requirements.

Payroll Fundamentals I
This course is the second core payroll course in the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification program. Upon completion of Payroll Fundamentals 1, you will be able to complete a Record of Employment (ROE), communicate all aspects of individual pay requirements to various stakeholders, and calculate regular individual pay, non-regular individual pay, and termination payments

Payroll Fundamentals II
This course is the final core payroll course in the Payroll Practitioner (PCP) certification program. Upon completion of Payroll Fundamentals II, you will be able to: calculate organizational remittances to federal, provincial and third party stakeholders, prepare accounting documentation for payroll,
complete year-end documentation, and communicate all aspects of organizational remittances, accounting, and year end requirements to internal, external, and government stakeholders.
