Professional Nail Technician
This 405-hour, full-time program is designed to teach you the fundamental skills necessary to become a professional nail technician. You will acquire the skills to apply sculptured nails — gel and acrylic, fills, and repairs along with pedicures and manicures. This program will also include a review of business opportunities for the entrepreneurial type who wants to be self-employed. Upon successful completion of this program you will receive a certificate from UFV, as well as a one-year membership with Beauty Council (Cosmetology Association of Western Canada), certificate of qualification for Nail Technology from Beauty Council and a certificate for Beauty Council’s BeautySafe program (cosmetology industry’s protocols of infection control, safe cleaning, sterilization, and chemical practices).
The cost of this program is $5,200, and textbooks and a supply kit are available at the UFV bookstore and not included in the course fee. Classes run Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm at the Chilliwack campus at Canada Education Park starting April 10, and the topics include:

• Pedicures (40186 FA NTA03 C5A)
