CAS supports student success

We look forward to welcoming you to the Centre for Accessibility Services (CAS), the main point of contact for students with disabilities at UFV. Our focus is on providing academic accommodations and services that support student access.

Who we support

CAS may be a good resource if you’re a student and:

  • Previously received academic accommodations.
  • Have a suspected, temporary, or permanent disability or injury that impacts educational experience.

If you are experiencing academic challenges, but do not have a disability or medical condition, these UFV supports may be helpful for you.

What is a disability?

The term disability covers a broad range and degree of conditions that can be permanent, temporary, episodic, and suspected.

For the purposes of our office, disability is defined as a functional limitation or impairment related to a student's ability to perform daily activities necessary to participate in post-secondary studies.
