Welcome to the Disability Resource Centre The University of the Fraser Valley is an academic community that values diversity and seeks to promote meaningful access to educational opportunity for all of its students. The Disability Resource Centre operates as the central contact point for students with disabilities at UFV. We are here to smooth the path for students with disabilities as they move through their academic career. Services for students focus upon providing accommodations and services to help meet academic demands, while promoting student responsibility and self-advocacy.
What do I need to do?
Make an appointment with a Disability Advisor to discuss what you will need in order to be successful at UFV. It is best to meet with a Disability Advisor as early as possible in your educational planning. Some services require at least three months to arrange, so the earlier we start the process the better.
Provide documentation regarding your disability to a Disability Advisor. A Disability Advisor will discuss with you what the requirements for documentation may be should you have any questions. Contact an Educational Advisor in Student Services to discuss your education planning and course selection.
Talk to a Financial Aid & Awards representative to discuss funding options and availability.
Contact the Disability Resource Centre For more information, please feel free to phone, email or drop by our offices.
