Drop, Cover, and Hold On
On October 20, 2016 at 10:20 a.m., millions of people worldwide will practice how to "Drop, Cover and Hold On" during Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills.
The Great BC ShakeOut is an annual drill BC residents participate in to better prepare for survival and quick recoverey from big earthquakes. Wherever you are - at work, school, or travel - "Drop, Cover and Hold On" as if there was a major earthquake occurring at that very moment.
UFV is registered in the Post Secondary category and encourages faculty, staff, and students to Drop, Cover and Hold On at 10:20 a.m. on October 20.
Visit PreparedBC to learn what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.
Anyone in British Columbia can participate, from a single individual at their home to a Post-Secondary institution like UFV. Talk to your peers, co-workers, friends and family about ShakeOut BC and encourage their participation!
