Established in memory of Mr. Philip Walter, originally of Chilliwack, who had established and operated an elk farm in Alberta. Previously he had worked on dairy farms. Farming has a long tradition in the Walter family, including Philip’s grandfather, Arthur Rundle, who farmed in the Chilliwack area.

AMOUNT: Varies (Value of the award will fluctuate each year based on the endowment amount)

AVAILABLE TO: To a UFV student who has completed and achieved top marks in the Agriculture program’s Livestock Production diploma, offered on the Chilliwack campus of UFV.


SELECTION PROCEDURE: The recipient of this award will be nominated by the Agriculture department.
