English as a Second Language (ESL)
ESL classes are tuition free for domestic students in the Winter 2015 semester.
The English as a Second Language (ESL) department offers full-time and part-time classes in English language studies for both domestic and international students. Through our programs, students learn English as well as the academic skills to sucessfully transition from ESL courses into university-level academic study. We provide a multi-media computer lab to support your learning.
If you need to upgrade your English to get ahead in your profession or pursue university studies, UFV’s English as a Second Language program options are designed for you. Apply now.
If you are a full-time international student, you make take English upgrading courses ranging from beginner to pre-university levels. The intense training options teach students the language as well as the necessary cultural and academic skills needed to succeed at a university-level of study. English upgrading core courses to improve basic reading, writing, and speaking skills
Advanced II (Level 70) and Academic Bridge (Level 80)
Advanced English upgrading in preparation for academic study; students at this level may be eligible for the University Foundation program
