IT Services Team
IT Services three divisions provide computing and communication services, systems, support and guidance to UFV students, faculty and staff.
IT Support - the Help Desk is the first point of contact for any IT related questions or problems. They are available through phone, email and and eHelp Desk. IT Support also plans and executes the deployment of hardware and software for office use and teaching purposes.
IT Applications provide support in the implementation, enhancement and maintenance of the university’s core applications including systems for finance, HR, student information and web-based technologies.
IT Infrastructure is responsible for the hardware and software that UFV systems rely on behind the scenes, including servers for enterprise applications and networks that support phone, data, internet and wireless access. They manage performance, security and availability, with a view to future growth.
IT Services maintenance window
IT Services has established a maintenance window to be used for performing service and upgrades to UFV information technology systems.
This window occurs every Sunday from 7am – 12pm (7am to noon).
While this maintenance window is scheduled weekly, any disruption of services will take place only if required, and the length of the outage may vary.

Regularly Scheduled Maintenance Outages
myUFV will be restarted every Friday at 7:00 am - myUFV will be unavailable for approxiately 10 minutes during this time.
Blackboard Learn will undergo maintenance on the third Thursday of each month between 8am & 9am. The server may be restarted during this time. More Information
