Studying in the Fraser Valley

Sporting a fantastic view of Mount Baker and nestled right next to Hwy 1 off of the McCallum Exit, the Library and Information Technology Diploma Program lives at the Abbotsford campus of UFV. The program offers access to a resource room with computers and various materials to support the academic activities of program students.  In addition, the resource room acts as a meeting place where students study, socialize and grab a bite to eat.

Graduation 2008

Because of its proximity to the freeway and many other alternate routes, the Abbotsford Campus is in an ideal location for students commuting from a variety of areas including Surrey, Langley, Chilliwack, Agassiz, Maple Ridge, White Rock, and more. Recent improvements to the transportation corridors south of the Fraser River also mean greater accessibility and better traffic flow for commuters. In addition, residences on the Abbotsford Campus mean students can spend a semester on campus (or more) with great ease. The Abbotsford campus of UFV possesses excellent gym facilities, food, library, and student support services. “The Green” that provides the communal green spa ce for the campus is the meeting grounds for students and the hub of many campus-wide activities including student lead events, barbecues, orientations and more. Aside from the clear air and amazing view, the campus is minutes away from shopping and restaurants. Next to the campus is the 7000 seat Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre that will be completed in Spring of 2009.

The strong sense of community, the accessibility to a range of services, and the feel of a mid-sized community that has grown from an agricultural tradition, makes studying at UFV a more-than-pleasant experience. Join us!
