Here record your voice, then play it. If you could not hear your voice, then the microphone is faulty. Windows VISTA: Most computers have more than 1 sound device; go to Control Panel (classic view) click-on "Sounds and audio devise" and make the other devise your default device. The most common problem with Vista is that it can not create the shortcut. To fix this, locate the file W16MGR.exe in folder C:\CAN8-2006, right click-on it and then click-on Sent to Desktop (create shortcut). More solutions at the button of the page.
Note: If you have a FIREWALL installed, CAN8 sometimes won't keep your recording or you will not be able to record unless you allow the file W16MGR.EXE (click here for how-to) through the firewall or unless you open the UDP ports 17180 to 17190. Do a recording exercise in CAN8, login the next day to see if it was kept or not. If it was not kept, you will have to configure or turn-off your firewall; but, doing so can put your PC at risk -not recommended. | GO TO TOP
