The Management Post-baccalaureate certificate (MPBC) is a one-year, eight-course, 27-credit post-degree program that will provide students coming from a non-business background with the opportunity to study management. It will enhance students’ knowledge of business, position them for graduate work, and award them a business credential specializing in international business and global management.
Students will complete a total of eight academic courses (27 credits). These include a core set of three management courses (9 credits); a set of three courses in international business and innovation (9 credits); and two research and applied project courses that focus on solving real-world business problems (9 credits).
Entrance requirements
Applicants must have a degree from a recognized institution. Course prerequisites will be waived given the incoming student’s academic and/or professional background.

Student statement of intent describing how this program will help them obtain their career and/or academic goals.
Applicants will be advised of an admission decision and, if accepted, will be provided with registration information.
Basis for admission decision
Applicants who meet the entrance requirements will be admitted in order of their application date. This date is set when an application, all required documentation, and the application fee have been submitted. All admission decisions are made by the School of Business.

Program continuance
To continue in the Management Post-baccalaureate certificate program students must maintain a minimum grade of C+ in each course. Students will be able to repeat two courses that are below C+.
Undergraduate continuance
Students enrolled in undergraduate courses (courses numbered 100 or higher) must maintain an undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 to remain enrolled in Good Academic Standing at UFV.
Students in Good Academic Standing will have no registration limits placed on them. Failure to meet the minimum CGPA requirement will result in restrictions on registration and may eventually lead to academic suspension from undergraduate studies at UFV. Students on Academic Warning or Academic Probation are limited to registering in 10 credits. For further details, see the Academic standing and undergraduate continuance section of the academic calendar. Academic standing is governed by UFV’s Undergraduate Continuance policy (92).
Residency
Students must complete at least five of the courses required in the certificate at UFV. Students will be able to transfer into the program up to three of the MPBC courses (nine credits) with a minimum grade of C+, taken at UFV within the past five years.
Graduation requirements
Students must be officially admitted to the program and complete all required courses.
The certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of all required courses with a minimum C+ in each course.
