Entrance requirements
Students may declare the CIS extended minor once they have completed the lower-level requirements. A minimum GPA of 2.67 in the lower-level CIS/COMP courses is required. Students should declare the extended minor to the CIS department.
Students also require
one of the following in order to take required CIS and COMP courses: C or better in one of Pre-calculus 11, Foundations of Mathematics 11, Principles of Mathematics 11, or MATH 085; or one of Principles of Mathematics 12, Foundations of Mathematics 12, Pre-calculus 12, or MATH 094 (discontinued).

Program requirements
Students in the CIS extended minor program must maintain semester and cumulative grade point averages of at least 2.00 (C average). Students must have a GPA of 2.00 on the courses required for acceptance. Upper-level CIS and COMP courses must be completed with a grade of C or better in order to be counted for credit toward the minor.
Students who do not maintain the required cumulative grade point average will be placed on program warning for one semester. If they do not attain the required CGPA, they will be required to withdraw from the minor.
