India-Canada Studies certificate

The curriculum of the India-Canada Studies certificate is across various disciplines and is structured so as to give students:

  • A sound basis in a range of essential areas of knowledge.
  • A solid understanding of a diverse area of study about a sub-continent and its Canadian Diaspora.
  • An opportunity to develop deeper knowledge and skills in a specialized area of concentration that is very useful for this local area, B.C., and Canada.

The inter-disciplinary nature of the program allows a broad breadth of knowledge within a concentration. The structure of the curriculum allows full- or part-time students to complete the certificate in a timely manner.

Entrance requirements

  1. B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, or minimum 19 years of age before the first day of classes.
  2. Applicants must meet the Entry-level English language proficiency requirement. For details on how this requirement may be met, see the English language proficiency requirement section of the calendar.

This certificate is intended for students who wish to complete it at the same time as they pursue another program. Students must ensure that they meet course prerequisites.
