Continuing Education
ufv.ca/ceThis full-time, 660-hour program consists of nine modules and will prepare you to work in a veterinary hospital where you will be working with animals and people on a daily basis. You will learn how to be an integral part of a small animal hospital as a Veterinary Administrative Assistant. As a qualified front line assistant, you will be learning how to be a top notch receptionist with above average people skills and will be capable of running the front desk, including answering the phones and booking appointments. You will also be learning some of the skills to assist with the animals that come in for care, whether they are injured, sick, or aggressive. You will learn how to become the face and voice of a veterinary hospital or clinic.

Your application will be reviewed. If you are eligible, you will be contacted by the Program Coordinator. Once you are accepted into the program, you may register. All fees are due at the time of registration.

The program length is 660 hours and is completed in a full-time capacity.
Courses will be offered at the Chilliwack campus (Canada Education Park).

Students must achieve a grade of 75% in each course to be eligible for the practicum and to receive their certificate. Successful completion of both theory and practicum must be achieved to obtain the certificate.
All course requirements must be met within three years.
