UFV's Continuing Education department offers a wide range of courses and programs from personal development to professional training and upgrading.
Continuing Education courses are offered on a short-term or part-time basis during evenings, daytime hours, and weekends.
Continuing Education programs and courses include certificate
programs in agriculture and horticulture, career and job training, community
health education, dental professions, fine arts, first aid and CPR, information
technology, human and social services, languages, personal and professional
development, sports and recreational leadership, tourism and hospitality, applied and technical studies, and writing. A Paralegal diploma program is also offered through the Continuing Education department.
Continuing Education issues program booklets twice each year, before the beginning of each semester in September and January. They list all full- and part-time Continuing Education courses offered by UFV, and contain all the information necessary for enrolment.
Offered primarily for people currently employed in agriculture, part-time courses include subjects such as pesticide use and dispersion training, horticulture, cattle nutrition, and a variety of crop courses. UFV is able to set up short-term agriculture courses to suit the needs of specific groups in the area, and inquiries are invited.
