Campus recreation has a variety of heart-pumping and zen-building options that will leave you feeling happy and healthy. All instructors are certified and highly experienced and can help tailor classes to all fitness levels.
There are two types of Fitness classes:
*Drop-in | Fitness classes are included in the Peak Pass Membership. There is also the option to purchase a single day pass or a punch pass if you only want to attend drop-in fitness classes. This information can be found on the Rates & passes website.
It is recommended to sign up on Xplor Recreation, but it is not mandatory. Sign-in at the Client Service Desk (E150) prior to attending class is mandatory

A mind-body practice that combines yoga postures, movements, and breathing techniques to help you reduce stress, increase your energy and an opportunity to take some "me" time.

This class is an absolute blast. Energizing your mind and body as you take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party!

The below fitness classes have been cancelled until further notice due to low participation.
This indoor cycling class is designed for all fitness levels. Starting on spin bikes and focusing on building muscle and cardio endurance with brief high intensity bursts. Then finishes with strength exercises using equipment for improved overall fitness gains.
This total body workout is the perfect mixture of cardiovascular and bodyweight exercises that will help you improve your overall physical well-being and strength. Class is designed for individuals to work at their own pace. Recommended to bring a water bottle and a towel.
This circuit style class will focus on building overall body strength, stability, and confidence in the Summit fitness centre. Exercises will incorporate multiple muscles groups with higher repetitions and rest intervals that will also help increase cardiovascular fitness.
Currently, drop-in fitness classes in Chilliwack are free. We do ask that all participants create an Xplor Recreation account and sign up for classes before attending. This helps us monitor attendance numbers and allows us to send email notices to participants if last-minute changes occur to the schedule.

Blending the benefits of active movement yoga practice and a deep connection to the breath. This class will include a warming of the body through dynamic posture sequences, as well as the balance of quiet, cooling postures for an integrated and nourishing practice to help calm and relax the nervous system.
No classes on during Reading Break (Feb 19-23).
Note: Classes are suitable for all fitness levels as instructors will provide modifications or amplifications when needed. We ask that you wear athletic shoes and clothing bring a water bottle, sweat towel and mat (there will be some fitness mats available)
Please be aware due to a lack of available instructors we still have a reduced fitness schedule. If you or someone you know is a certified fitness instructor, contact campusrec@ufv.ca.
We welcome all those who wish to participate in our programs. All our programs are open to all fitness levels. Physical activity improves your physical and mental health, even small amounts of physical activity can be beneficial. Participating in physical activity is very safe for MOST people. However, it is recommended to check with your doctor before starting to becoming more physically active.
