Leadership

As CFO, Nicole provides vision, leadership, and direction to the CFO division, overseeing Budget and Resource Planning, Financial Services, Supply Chain, Ancillary Services, and Enterprise Risk.

Working with a dedicated team of directors and staff, Nicole ensures that UFV remains financially sustainable and that financial resources align with the institution's mission and strategic plans. She is also responsible for ensuring university reporting requirements are met within her portfolio.

Nicole's extensive background in post-secondary, not-for-profit, and municipal environments has prepared her well for her leadership role at UFV. Having served in various capacities within the Financial Services department for two decades, including as Associate Director from 2005 to 2017, and Director since 2017, Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her current position.

In recognition of her outstanding leadership and people-first approach, Nicole was honoured with UFV's annual Inspirational Leadership Award in 2021 for her calmness in the workplace during the pandemic.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and travelling. She enjoys reading and pursuing personal interests such as golf and cooking.
