Meet the team

Leah Bishop has been working in community development, grassroots initiatives, and transformational learning for over 10 years. In graduate studies, she focused on critical scholarship that explores de-centring hegemonic structures and investigates overlapping structural systems of oppression, with an agenda of social equity and justice. She prioritizes her involvement in research projects that aligns scientific knowledge and skills with local knowledge keepers to make the world a fairer and more just place for everyone. Currently, she teaches in the Social, Cultural, and Media Studies department at the University of the Fraser Valley.
