Meet the team

Jeff has been a member of the UFV community since 2016, and part of the CHASI team since 2020. Beginning as a student intern, his role has evolved with CHASI’s growing team and needs, and he now leads the Knowledge Mobilization Team in ensuring projects results are communicated clearly and accessibly with the broader community. This allows him to combine experience in journalism and marketing with his background in media studies, to do what he is passionate about: working behind the scenes amplifying the voices of advocates and activists.

During his studies at UFV, Jeff worked multiple roles at UFV’s autonomous student newspaper, The Cascade, culminating with a term as its editor-in-chief. In his personal life, Jeff has written a few novels, played a lot of Dungeons and Dragons, and tried to be a good father to his pug Beans. Equity and empathy are Jeff’s driving values, and he brings them into his academic, professional, and personal practices.
