email ChelseaChelsea graduated from UFV in 2018 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Development Studies. Her professional background includes working as a research assistant in the teacher education department at UFV and as a consultant at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in Laos focusing on alternative development.
Her international experiences have brought her to Uganda, Australia, Turkey, and Afghanistan, among other countries, where she has worked in international childcare and tutoring. In 2020, she fulfilled a dream when she taught ice skating in Afghanistan to young women.
She recently graduated from the Institute for Development Studies at the University of Sussex, where her thesis research focused on the role of sport in women’s empowerment in Afghanistan. She is an ambassador for Free to Run, an organization which supports women's sports in conflict zones. She loves hiking and being outdoors with her husband and her dog Birthday Cake.
