Community Health and Social Innovation (CHASI) Hub

Partnerships

The CHASI Hub has developed multiple formal and informal collaborative relationships with communities, government, and industry. These partnerships are captured in MOUs, participation as advisory committee members, collaborators, and knowledge transfer/integration partners.

The primary focus of these relationships and the work of the Hub is to support research, support the development, implementation and evaluation of effective policies and practices, and to engage in knowledge acquisition and transfer activities that encourage innovation and evidence-informed policies and programs.

For more information on how you can join or support this work, contact Dr. Martha Dow at martha.dow@ufv.ca or thehub@ufv.ca.

Our partnerships

First Nations Health Authority

The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) works to reform how the health care and knowledge are delivered to BC First Nations through direct collaboration with provincial partners. The FNHA is the wellness and health partner to over 200 diverse First Nations communities and citizens across BC. The FNHA is also a champion of culturally safe practices throughout the broader health care system.

Fraser Health is one of five regional health authorities in B.C. working together with the Ministry of Health. They are responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.8 million people in 20 diverse communities from Burnaby to Fraser Canyon on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples. With over 29,000 employees, 3,000 physicians, and 6,000 volunteers the Fraser Health aims to improve the health of the population that they serve with respect, care and trust.

Abbotsford Division of Family Practice

Their vision focuses on the belief that all the people of Abbotsford have access to optimal health care, through the leadership of primary care specialists who are committed to the wellness of our community.

Chilliwack Division of Family Practice

The Chilliwack Division of Family Practice is a non-profit society that represents family physicians in Chilliwack, Agassiz, Seabird Island and Hope. Mission Division of Family Practice

The Mission Division provides local family physicians with a stronger collective voice in the integrated delivery of primary care within our community. The main goal is to provide a collaborative and innovative approach to patient-based care with a strong and transparent relationship between our Division, the GPSC, Fraser Health Authority, and the Ministry of Health. The Mission Division of Family Practice is committed to building partnerships with local and regional health care providers to enhance patient care and access to services. Through integrating services and increased collaboration amongst service providers they can create a healthier community.

National Indigenous Fire Safety Council

The Community Health and Social Innovation Hub (CHASI) is proud to maintain a longstanding partnership with the National Indigenous Fire Safety Council (NIFSC), which supports Indigenous communities in development of their internal capacity to support community safety and resiliency.

As part of this partnership, CHASI provides a repository of NIFSC research, some of which was completed by the CHASI team.
