Confirm you meet the entrance requirements

Check the latest version of the UFV Academic Calendar to ensure you meet the entrance requirements for your desired program.

Apply for online for admission to UFV.

Electronically submit all additional application documents to admissions@ufv.ca.

Review the Bachelor of Arts Child and Youth Care (BA CYC) application checklist to ensure a complete application for consideration to this program.

Official transcripts (or interim transcripts) from every post-secondary institution attended showing grade/course achievement as per entrance requirements. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly to UFV from the originating institution; see the official transcript guidelines for details.
Statement of intent outlining your education and career goals as they relate to your application to the program. The statement should address what led you to apply and how your background has prepared you for this program (maximum of two pages).
Three references letters with at least one academic reference and one employment/professional reference.
Résumé. A complete work, education, and practicum history résumé is required. The resume must clearly differentiate paid employment from volunteer/unpaid work.

Letter of intent (250-word personal statement articulating your strengths, interest in the ECE field, how you have prepared, and why you feel suited to work with young children).

Copy of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate and a provincial licence to practice (UFV ECE graduates exempt).
