Biography

Farshad started working as an LTA instructor at the School of Computing, University of the Fraser Valley, in August 2024. Before this, he was an associate professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Kharazmi University in Tehran, Iran, from 2012 to 2024, during which he also co-founded the Signals and Networks Research Lab (https://www.signet-lab.com). He was a postdoc fellow at the University of British Columbia from 2005 to 2006. Farshad has several years of industry experience in the Electronics and ITS sectors.

Education

PhDElectrical Engineering (Telecommunications), Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada, 2004, Thesis: Performance Evaluation of Multi-hop Ad-hoc Wireless LANs.

Programming Languages, Computer Architecture, Computer Networks, Engineering Probability $ Statistics.

 

Research Interests

Wireless Networks, ML Applications in WNs, Smart City, and Renewable Energies.
