You can save time and money by using a PLC to control the operation of motors, pumps, light fixtures, timers, assembly lines, and more. Discover the ease of wiring and programming on the Schneider Zelio family of smart–relays, a basic type of PLC. The course covers topics from physical wiring to programming and testing, and highlights the simplicity and power of these controllers. You learn to write programs in two different styles: Function Block and Ladder Logic. Your 30 hours of hands-on training takes place in UFV’s full automation lab, where you can program and wire your class projects.
- You must bring a personal laptop with Windows XP or higher to each class. (The software is not compatible with Windows 8)
- A USB with class exercises, documentation, Schneider ZelioSoft, ABB Automation builder, and CodeSys is provided.
- Ensure that you have at least one USB 2.0 port and one ethernet port functional on your laptop
