Elaine Ávila is an award-winning, internationally renowned director, actor and playwright, a Fulbright scholar, and a co-founder of the Climate Change Theatre Action, which now reaches 40,000 audience members worldwide.

She has directed and founded programs at the Arts Club Theatre, Richmond Gateway Theatre, collaborated with Inuit storyteller Arvaarluk Kusugak, toured B.C., Alberta, performed with members of London’s Royal Shakespeare Company, and taught in universities from Los Angeles to Panama to Tasmania to Nanjing.
