If you’ve just graduated from high school, you’re starting university for the first time, or you’re returning after some time away, this event is for you!

|Improv for Real Life: Learn how to apply strategies used on stage to your day to day life. Be excited to get out of your comfort zone, say yes to the unexpected, and have some fun.|
|Photo Scavenger Hunt: A fun and easy way to explore campus! Make friends and have a good laugh while finding your way around and becoming familiar with the many resources UFV has to offer.|
|Let it Go: Do you ever feel like you need to let it go? Join the Campus Recreation Team in an interactive experience to explore dimensions of personal wellness and learn to reduce stress and stay healthy as a university student!|
|SUS Health & Dental Plan: Come learn about your student health and dental plan! One of the benefits of being a student at UFV is health and dental coverage. Learn about your benefits, how to access them, how to opt-out if you don't need them, and much more.|
|Strengths & Skills Workshop: Everyone has knowledge and skills that they excel at. In this session we are going to focus on bringing our strengths into the spotlight rather than concentrating on which weaknesses we need to improve. Strength-based leadership and lifestyle can help you to put your best self forward- especially when making a big transition to a new university.|
|Time Management: Are you worried about how you are going to get everything done this semester? Come learn about time management, and discover some useful tips and tricks you can start using today.|
|Values Workshop: Values are the principles that guide how we live our lives, decide what is most important, when to take a stand, and how to know that we are being true to who we are. In this session you will think about what drives you, what is most important to you, and how you can use those values to your advantage while at UFV.|
|Why Goals Matter: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? This session will get you thinking about how you choose to invest your time in the present. This will help to evolve a focus of your aspirations and can guide the commitments you make and ways you spend your time.|
Academic Matters at UFV: What is your AIM as a student? Do you want to be able to use your future degree in a meaningful way? We all think we know what plagiarism and cheating are, but what do these things actually mean? Come to our academic integrity workshop and learn strategies to maintain academic honesty, avoid misconduct, and further your own academic growth.
Budgeting Workshop: Are you trying to save up for a house, a car, or grad school? Don’t lose control of your finances! Come to this session and learn the basics of budgeting.
|#metoo and You: Be a part of the change. Learn about the supports and resources available to UFV students who experience any form of sexualized violence. This interactive workshop will be facilitated by student educators.|
