As of September 1, 2017, all English Language Studies (ELS) and Adult Basic Education (ABE) courses for domestic students are tuition-free. Ancillary fees still apply. In addition, each student can expect to pay for textbooks, classroom supplies, parking and other semester-based fees. For more information about fees please see the Academic Calendar
Semester-based fees include fees for the UFV Student Union Society, the Student Union Building, the U-Pass (bus and gym pass), Campus bus connector, Campus Radio and Newspaper and Student IT Tech Support.
The Student Union Society Health and Dental Plan fee is charged to students who are enrolled in nine or more credits. It is charged in the fall semester only but provides coverage from September to August. Students do not have to pay this fee if they have a plan through their work, their spouse or their parents.
More information on any of these fees can be found in the Academic Calendar
Domestic students can apply for the Adult Upgrading Grant. Students who qualify for this grant can receive funding for their study costs, including tuition and textbook costs. Applications must be submitted to the Financial Aid and Awards office at least four weeks before classes start. Click here for the Adult-Upgrading-Grant-Application.
