Project Hero Tuition Scholarship

Project Hero, started in 2009 by Retired General Rick Hillier and Honorary Lt. Colonel Kevin Reed, is a unique program providing undergraduate scholarships to children of fallen soldiers. Since September 2009, many of Canada's finest colleges and universities are offering tuition-and in some cases first year support with room and board- to children of CAF personnel who have lost their lives while serving in an active mission.

AMOUNT: $4,000 ($2,000 towards Fall tuition and $2,000 towards Winter tuition)

AVAILABLE TO: To be eligible, the recipient must be:

  1. A dependant of a Canadian Armed Forces personnel deceased while serving in an active military mission as determined by Canadian Forces criteria
  2. Under the age of twenty-six
  3. Registered as a full-time undergraduate at the University of the Fraser Valley,
  4. Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
