Sarah-Louise Ruder completed her PhD at the University of British Columbia’s Institute for Resources, Environment, and Sustainability. Interdisciplinary by training, Sarah-Louise is an environmental social scientist studying food and agriculture in Canada. She holds a Master of Environmental Studies and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo and Queen’s University, respectively. Her research explores transitions to more sustainable, food secure, and just food systems and the politics of novel agri-food technologies. She employs critical, reflexive, and intersectional feminist approaches across her research, writing, teaching, and activism.
