Making a formal request

Two types of formal Freedom of Information (FOI) requests you might submit include the following:

Personal information

If you would like to access your own personal information, you may need to submit a formal FOI request. Types of information include:

  • employment records

  • academic records

Note: You may be able to access your personal information without submitting a formal FOI request. For example, if you would like to request your own transcripts, please use the Official Transcript Request form.
