Hazardous waste is disposed annually
We ask all departments that require hazardous waste disposal to complete the Hazardous Waste Disposal Information Form (fillable pdf form), and email it to the Facilities Service desk no later than the last business day of April.
The waste material forms will be compiled into a master list and sent to a qualified licensed hazardous waste removal contractor for review and acceptance. Arrangements will then be made for the disposal of the waste materials. Departments will be informed of the scheduled pick-up day once all submissions have been received and we have secured the waste disposal services through the Purchasing Department.
Please ensure that all waste materials are packaged according to safety standards as indicated by the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for that specific product.
Non-response by the last working day in April will be interpreted as no requirement for the disposal of waste materials from the department.
