email LinLin was born in China where she received all her education: BASc in Electrical Engineering in Chongqing University, Master’s degree in Applied Computer Technology in Wuhan University of Technology, Ph.D in Electrical Engineering in Zhejiang University. Before she came to Canada, she had worked in a motor design and manufacturing company for 7 years, then had conducted teaching and research in Wuhan University of Technology for 11 years. She started her teaching career in Canada from being a sessional instructor in UFV in 2010, and her professional engineer career in IMW Industries (Chilliwack) in 2011. Lin became a tenured associate professor in UFV in 2014 and has been the co-chair of Engineering Physics program. Lin’s research interests are robotics, agricultural and industrial automation, and medical devices. Currently, Lin is conducting a few research projects with BC Cancer Abbotsford, an apiary company, and a few local farms.
Lin’s research interests are robotics, agricultural and industrial automation (such as crops/vegetables robotic harvesting, smart greenhouse farming, intelligent food producing), and medical devices.
