Education

PhD, Experimental Psychology, McGill University

MA, Music Mind & Technology, University of Jyväskylä

BA (Hons), Psychology, Simon Fraser University

Teaching Interests

Dr. Wright's teaching interests include introductory psychology and cognitive psychology, with a particular focus on basic and applied topics in music cognition.

Research Interests

Dr. Wright's main research interests are in understanding the cognitive and physiological mechanisms involved in music perception and performance. Dr. Wright uses a combination of linear and nonlinear analysis techniques to capture behavioural, cardiac, and respiratory dynamics in experts and novices when they listen to and synchronise their movement with auditory rhythms.
