Classes, exams, and academic concessions for the Fall 2021 semester
Updated December 3, 2021
The BC floods have impacted many of our students, faculty, and staff. Our current plans - outlined below - aim to bring you as much stability and certainty as possible as you work to complete the semester.
Remote learning to continue for most courses
To support the successful completion of the academic term, UFV is announcing the following measures:
- All courses and programs will continue to be delivered remotely for the remainder of the academic term except for a limited number of courses and programs.
- These courses will begin on Monday, December 6, and have been approved by the appropriate Dean in order to achieve learning outcomes.
- Faculty and programs will provide students in these courses with the logistics of participating in face-to-face components safely. Students who are not able to access UFV safely will be provided with appropriate accommodations and/or alternative options.
At this point, we are optimistic that face-to-face final exams will be able to be offered on our campuses at their previously scheduled times and locations. A final decision regarding the location and delivery mode of final exams will be announced by December 9.
This plan is based on current information, if conditions worsen, additional measures or changes to this plan may be adopted and will be communicated promptly.
