When do you need to submit your application?
To allow adequate time for protocol reviews and agenda preparation, requests must be received by the Human Research Ethics Board in ROMEO by noon on Thursday, two weeks before the meeting date. Deadlines for submission are strictly observed.
Important Note: There is no deadline for minimal risk applications. Please submit your project at any time and the Chair and Vice-Chair will determine if it can be delegated. If you plan to have a course reviewed, please submit it as early as possible to ensure it is ready for the coming semester. New course designations come to the HREB meeting the first time they are reviewed.
Meetings are at 4 pm Thursday Week 4 of the UFV meeting schedule (*some exceptions due to holidays). The HREB does not meet in July. Researchers are no longer being invited to attend the meeting but the HREB may reach out with questions prior to the meeting for clarity.
