April 2014 BC Chair Research Lecture at UFV
Dr. Amandeep Sandhu, the BC Regional Innovation Chair in Canada-India Business and Economic Development which is housed in the Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies gave his first lecture as part of UFV’s Research Lecture Series. Dr. Sandhu’s lecture, which was hosted by the Office of Research, Engagement and Graduate Studies was titled The Great Economic Transformation of the 21st Century: How Globalization of Service Jobs Will Determine Your Career and Life. In his talk, Dr. Sandhu addressed the now rising practice of outsourcing white collar jobs globally and framed them within the rapidly changing 21st-century global capitalism. He also discussed how the jobs and careers of people in advanced and emerging economies are impacted by this trend.
